We made it to Paris!

...and boy are we tired!   We successfully navigated out of the airport, found a train and found our way to the hotel in spite of our lack of ANY ability to communicate in French. It turns out that kindness will get you far and kindness mixed with confusion and a little desperation will get you even farther. I have not only been able to butcher the few French words I know but I have run them through the meat grinder. With that said, the Parisian's have been great!

We visited a few local sites, went halfway up the Eiffel Tower, and then WALKED down the stairs of the Eiffel... Do you know how many steps that is? A LOT!!! That was our warm-up for our Camino. Speaking of the Camino, we met our first pilgrim today... Jill, a young woman from Boston. She was staying in the same neighborhood as us and taking a train to St. Jean Pied de Port to start her Camino tomorrow.

Today, after the best nights sleep ever, we hopped on the TGV (high speed train) to Lyon and next we are headed to Le Puy.
